Florida Pompano

As we move into April on the Forgotten Coast we anticipate fishing to just get better and better. The proof is in the pudding as the reports of great angling continue to come in. Spanish bite is still awesome and is getting even better as more and more fish migrate into our waters. Mackerel trees are best bet for bait unless you are fishing the pier in Mexico Beach and then we'd recommend Gotcha Plugs. Whiting bite is still good and live sand flea is your best bet when you can find them along the beaches but flea flavored Fishbites will produce well. There are still plenty of nice Redfish being taken and reports vary widely on baits. We love our Pompano on the Forgotten Coast and they have started to show up, we've seen some nice pics of Pomp's from Mexico Beach and out on the Cape. Again Fishbites and Pompano jigs are winners for baits. We think in the short coming weeks the Pompano bite will be really hot..  Anglers don't forget the Bluewater Outriggers 10th Annual Tent Sale coming April 7th and 8th. The bargains will Amaze You !!! Until next week, Happy Fishing !
