hi Folks,
The heat will just not give us a break along the Forgotten Coast and it has hampered fishing somewhat. We are finding that if your on the
water early at sun up and fish hard for several hours your more likely to catch fish than waiting later up in the day. Redfish and Trout bite
is still pretty good for the early risers and live shrimp, live small pin fish are good baits. We've had other reports that the ZMan laguna shrimp are taking fish run behind a popping cork or fished off the bottom. We still are not getting anything on the Pompano along the beaches and
we suspect the water temperature is holding them off some. Again with this heat we suggest very early on the water or late evening about 2 hours prior to sunset to try and make it happen.
Until next time. Happy Fishing !
