Another cold and windy week on the Forgotten Coast has put us in a slow time of fishing. We've gotten scattered reports that Whiting is still the best bet along the beaches and we've had a few reports of Speckled Trout holding on up in the canal's, rivers and creeks. This has been a longer than normal cold snap and hopefully we will see some warmer temps real soon. In the mean time let us know how your doing if your braving the weather to get out and fish. Here's a link to Florida Wildlife Commission's January Newsletter.
There is some discussion about the scallop season for St. Joseph Bay and all of Gulf County: Aug. 17 - Sept. 30 2018.
Until next time, stay warm and Happy Fishing !
