Joe Mizereck from St. Joe Beach shared this photo of a beautiful Redfish he caught this week. The redfish bite has been great on spoons and soft plastic baits. Getting in shallow and quiet water has been the key.
The weather has been a challenge all week with high winds most days. The trout bite has been good on artificial baits with an 1/8 oz jig head with a 2/0 hook on light colored swim baits being the most effective. Top water baits and suspended twitch baits have been producing great action also.
Flounder have been active in the sandy holes surrounded by grass or sandy flats that are near grass lines. Dark colored grubs fished very slowly have been the most effective method to entice a bite.
