Trout have been in deeper water in the 5-7 ft range close to the grass flats. Live pinfish have been the preferred bait for trout as well as redfish. Fishing a Carolina rig with a 1/2 oz weight is the preferred rig. Redfish are close in shore during high tide and move out as the tide gets lower. July temperatures can make the fishing challenging and the sharks are plentiful, so be prepared to deal with those two obstacles. Until next week. Happy Fishing !
