Trout and redfish have been pretty solid performers when the weather allows. The best strategy has been fishing deeper holes with soft plastics . Bites have been light and uncharacteristic of trout, so be prepared when to set the hook with the slightest tap. Redfish have been scattered in the grass and moving usually alone but on a few occasions, there have been doubles cruising together. Same baits that are catching trout will land the reds also. A few sheepshead are showing up in the canal as well as black drum but not in big numbers quite yet.
Thank you Capt. Lee Thompson.
Until next week. Happy Fishing !
