BlueWater Outriggers Fishing Report 5-1-2024

OFFSHORE: The Red Grouper and Triggerfish have been doing really good in 90 to 180 feet of water over high relief wrecks With Amberjack season open, reports have been coming in as well. Live hard tails are the baits to use, look for them around wrecks as well. Just a reminder Red Snapper season opens June 1. BlueWater Outriggers will have all your bait and tackle on hand as well as Chum.

INSHORE: Redfish and Trout have been good on spoons, the gold ones seem to be doing a little better. Other baits are the Bass Assassin, Electric Chicken seems to be the best color right now. Sheephead can still be caught around rock piles on a Carolina Rig. Flounder have been good along the seawall using bull minnows. A few Pompano are still being caught on the beaches.

FRESHWATER: Report has been good with Catfish being caught on trot lines using crawfish for bait. Shell Crackers have been good on gravel bars and shell beds using both crickets and worms.  We have them both so stop in BlueWater Outriggers and see us for more tips and tricks.

Until next week, tight lines and don't forget to wear those those lifejackets.
