Hi Folks,
The big topic this week is Scalloping, the season opens in St. Joe Bay on August the 16th. Before you get on the water think safety first. Just like with your car, don't drink and drive or dive. There will be lots of boats on the water during this time and it is imperative that operators are aware of what is around them and watching for Diver Down flags. Remember the diver may have moved some distance away from the flag.
Once your in the water keep a look out for boats in your immediate area and don't drift too far from your flag. Daily Bag Limit: 2 gallons of whole bay scallops in shell or 1 pint of bay scallop meat per person; Maximum of 10 gallons of whole bay scallops in shell, or 1/2 gallon bay scallop meat per vessel
BlueWater Outriggers has everything you need for your Scalloping trip from Diver Down flags to snorkel sets to scallop knives and more. Speak with one of our sales staff and we'll set you up with everything you need for a great day on and in the water. Until next week. Happy Scalloping and Fishing !
