After another great weather week the fishing continues to be hot along the Forgotten Coast. Whiting are still biting well along all the beaches and are plentiful. They continue to take most baits offered but Fishbites in the Sand Flea and Shrimp flavors are winners. Also fresh shrimp are producing fish. Here is a simple tip on Whiting, if you are using fresh shrimp and the bite seems a little slow then actually peel your shrimp and offer it up. We have found that sometimes this brings the bite back. We have great news this week, we are getting reports of Flounder being caught in St. Joe Bay in the low spots or "bomb holes" in the bay. The Gulp Pearl with Chartreuse tail in 3" is catching good fish and we offer a new bait, one that we now carry at Bluewater Outriggers. Billy Bay Halo Shad. Chartreuse with Pink Fire tail 1/4 oz. has really turned on the Flounder bite. Trout bite continues to be good in the Canal and Rivers and at the mouth of the Canal. Saltwater Assassin soft baits and live shrimp are doing the trick. Until next week, Happy Fishing.
