Hawaiian Lifeguard Association Design & Development Partnership:
The HLA puts our designs to the test far before they find their way to store shelves. From fit and performance, to breathability and traction, the HLA puts our footwear through real field research and the gauntlet of lifeguarding in Hawaii. It’s this kind of rigorous testing that vastly improves the final design and construction of our products. Each pair of HLA sealed styles are thoughtfully constructed specifically to meet their needs. OluKai Konohiki (caretaker) and member of the Hawaiian Waterman Hall of Fame, Archie Kalepa shares: It’s a sandal that has been punished, proven, researched and refined and is personally the best slipper I’ve ever worn.”
Soft neoprene base with adjustable webbing overlay and water-resistant rubber strap anchors.

Patent Pending Design Within Holomua’s core construction is a patent pending footplate, the most innovative of all other technical sandal designs available today. This is combined with the one of a kind anti-slip outsole pattern to put Holomua in a class of its own. Adjustable Nylon Straps The nylon strap and plate design maximizes arch contour and delivers maximum comfort and functionality for high activity while minimizing weight at the same time. HLA Approval Seal Rigorously tested and proven by the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association, the Holomua performs under the most extreme use and environmental conditions.
